...Church of the Brethren officials in Michigan will meet next month to consider whether a homosexual minister's ordination should be revoked. Rev. Matthew Smucker only became a minister in June. A couple of weeks later, the denomination's national conference reaffirmed its opposition to practicing homosexuals in the ministry. The 34-year-old Smucker is currently working as a fund-raiser and development officer at the Church of the Brethren's seminary in Chicago.
