...The pastor of a Dallas Catholic church has blasted his parishioners for refusing to forgive his homosexual assistant pastor who professed sexual desires for Hispanic men on an Internet clergy chat room. Thirty-six-year-old Clifford Garner was removed as Assistant Pastor of Saint Pius X Catholic Church in East Dallas after church members reported the pastor’s actions to church officials. In his weekly message posted on the church’s Internet site, Monsignor Lawrence Pichard castigated the congregation, saying he was disturbed by the hate and vengeance exhibited by some people. Garner was told by church officials to cease from visiting the chat room -- but supervisors later found out he continued visiting the chat room under a different Internet identity. During a visit to the chat room, known as St. Sebastian’s Angels, Garner expressed sexual desires for Hispanic men -- including a church youth pastor who was his roommate at a national Catholic youth retreat.
