| Morality...Can it be Legislated? |
 |
Can We Legislate Morality? - An oft-quoted statement has it
that we can't legislate morality. We are told that it is useless and
even wrong to enact certain kinds of legislation because they involve
trying to make people moral by law, and this, it is insisted, is an
impossibility. |

Moral Relativism: Is it True You Can't Legislate Morality? -The
difference between utilitarian ethics and deontological ethics:

action good; deontological ethics says your actions are good

Deontological ethics are biblical. |

You Can't Legislate Morality; or Can You? - You cannot
legislate morality! That is the most quoted phrase of liberals when
they oppose a piece of legislation, but have a weak argument against
its passage. |

You Can't Legislate Morality - No doubt
what's meant is that you cannot legislate the intentions of the heart.
We cannot pass a law that changes a man's heart. By passing a law you
cannot make a bad man good. So, in that sense, it's true. |
