Cults
Biblical Concepts of Approving and Discerning - In this time of “Tolerance”, "Political Correctness" and “Relativism” many Christians do not know what their responsibilities are according to what God has revealed in His word. There are those who are in the Church today that have convinced many that we are not to judge or discern anything. There are also many outside of the church who cry for “Tolerance” telling us that by judging and discerning we are violating the very Bible we say we believe.
A Guide for Testing the Truth - Today We hear of people testing the supernatural, by what they hear or see, by their experience, or by their feelings.  If it feels good or right they "bear witness." Another way is by just accepting it by faith, since whatever is happening is inside the church, and therefore must be from God.
Bad, Really Bad and Really, Really Bad Theology & Cults & other - Phil Johnson bears sole responsibility for these remarks. They do not necessarily reflect the opinions of his pastor, his employer, his wife, his children, or his friends. Only Phil's dog, Basil, always agreed with Phil. But Basil is gone now, so Phil is basically the only one to blame if you don't like the comments on these pages.

The Marks of a Cult - One must be careful to distinguish between the sociological position of what constitutes a cult (i.e., which states that whatever is normative to a given culture is not cultic) and the theological position (i.e., which states that only those groups that adhere to the Bible as the basis for all theology and practice are considered normative, and thereby, not cultic).
Other Books of the Bible - These are works you will find sited, but are not in the Canon. They have been rejected by the Jews and Christians.  The author of this site is convinced these hold a special meaning and are of equal authority to the Old and New Testaments.  While I disagree with the author, I include this site as a convenience to have access to all of these works.
