November's Edition focuses on
Being A Complete Christian |
|
|
Last year during the Presidential campaigning, Al Gore was making a speech trying to appeal to
as many people as he could. He was speaking on the subject of conservation and the environment.
He began to transition to the subject to religion and morality. He began this particular part of the
speech in this manner, “I now call upon the Christian part of myself……” It occurred to me at that
point in time that this was echoing something that has become prevalent. We define ourselves as a
compartmentalized being when it comes to religion and to our relationship to God. While it is
true that humans have a material and a non-material part, (Body, Soul, and Spirit) they cannot have
a Christian and non-Christian part!

Opinions Differ on Same God, Different Names
http://headlines.agapepress.org/archive/11/12001b.asp
AgapePress) - Two high-profile evangelical Christians are squaring off over the issue of whether
people of different religions can worship the same god.
E.V. Hill, a popular speaker at Promise Keepers events, has joined clerics from other world
religions in calling for an interfaith day of prayer and fasting this Saturday. Based on a
statement he made to Associated Press, it appears Hill holds to a popular belief today which
teaches that Christians, Muslims, Hindus, and others can all pray to the same god.

KJV Only Debate
http://www.christianarsenal.com/KJVonly.htm
It is with some degree of hesitation that we address this issue. This has turned into a bitter
debate that has caused more problems that it has cured. It has caused friends to break friendships,
confused babes in Christ, and repulsed sinners form ever wanting to darken the doors of a church.
I have friends on both sides of the issue and as I have kept contact with them over the years, I find
what seems to be a seed of bitterness that lingers on. This is a sad spoil of war for a soldier of
the cross.
