Election
Results: GOP the Victors, Dems and Media Elite Vanquished
(AgapePress) - The president of the public policy arm of the Southern
Baptist Convention (SBC) says President George W. Bush and the Republican
Party now have the opportunity to easily approve the president's judicial
nominations. And a media watchdog has a surprise: John Kerry was not the
only big loser on Election Day.

Pro-Family
Wrap-up of Ballot Initiatives and Amendments
(AgapePress)
- Pro-family activists are celebrating major victories in ballot measures
across the country. Voters in 11
states approved constitutional amendments defining marriage as only
between a man and a woman and banning same-sex "marriages." The
amendments won easily approval
in Kentucky, Ohio, Mississippi, Arkansas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Georgia,
Montana, Utah, and North Dakota. Oregon was the only state where the
amendment was even close, as homosexual activists poured all their
resources into that state in hopes of a victory.

WeVoteValues.com
Congratulations to all Americans who stood up for traditional values in this election.
It was especially gratifying to hear the media pundits announcing that the
evangelical Christians and Catholics who voted their values were the
deciding group in re-electing the president and in defeating Senators who
were not supportive of the Federal Marriage Amendment. That means we
did our job this year.

Know
the Truth - by Bruce Milne
The truth of the Christian faith is what
theology is all about. In this handbook of the Christian faith, Milne
presents a solid outline and brief exposition of Christian theology. The
key themes addressed include authority, the doctrine of God, human nature
and sin, the person and work of Christ, the person and work of the Holy
Spirit, the church, and the end times. This book is essential for new
Christians, and would make a welcome addition to any serious student's
library.
On
the Road to Armageddon: How Evangelicals Became Israel's Best Friend
by Timothy Weber
Seldom does a day go by without news coverage of
violence-plagued Israel and American foreign policy regarding the
Arab-Israeli conflict. The United States has been one of the biggest
supporters of Israel since its formation more than fifty years ago, and
American evangelicals have played a major role in that support. In On the
Road to Armageddon, Timothy Weber explores the historic relationship
between evangelicals and Israel, the relationship's dispensational
theological roots, and implications for the future. Weber begins with an
examination of the dispensational movement of the nineteenth century,
outlining its analysis of the coming apocalypse and the role that a
formalized nation of Israel would play. He describes the Zionist movement
and events that led to the formation of Israel in 1948, including the
Balfour Declaration and the increased support for a nation of Israel
following the Holocaust. His concluding chapter, "Self-Fulfilling
Prophecy," speculates whether ongoing dispensational support for
Israel may be helping prophecy to happen. A major work on an ever timely
theme, On the Road to Armageddon is recommended reading for anyone
interested in American-Israeli relations, history, theology, and politics.
